I've kept birds since I was about twelve years old. My first interest was in breeding color mutations. In 1989 I bought a whiteface cockatiel from an importer here in Miami and bred him with a big lutino hen. From that start I bred one of the first albinos to be shown at an ACS show. My focus turned to breeding more for conformation, that is to say, balance, size, posture and length. In 2006 one of my Normal cockatiels went Best in Show at the American Cockatiel Society Specialty Show. This bird's son went Best in Show at the 2007 ACS Specialty Show.

My cockatiels come from the lines established by Ken and Maureen O'Steen. Through the years I've out-crossed them to Pam Holmer and Linda Greeson's lines. I owe a debt of gratitude to these fine people.

I am a member of the American Cockatiel Society who's web site can be found at http://www.acstiels.com.
